Show Details CoveritLive Weekly: Top five Social TV events (Dec. 10-16) 12/17/2012, 3:01 PM By Spencer Kitley A quartet of newbies jumped into the CoveritLive Social TV fray this past week, joining perennial top-fiver NFL Thursday Night Football in the weekly Social TV rankings. Joining the NFL in the top five were Bild, Yahoo Brazil and Eurosport France. Topping the charts for the week was German publisher, Bild’s live coverage of the second season of the German edition of The Voice. More than 90,000 viewers got social during the singing competition’s season finale as Nick Howard claimed The Voice title. The NFL returned to the weekly rankings and claimed a spot in the top three for the 10th time this football season. The league’s Social TV coverage of the Thursday Night Football matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Philadelphia Eagles attracted an audience of more than 35,000 viewers to claim the No. 2 position in the rankings. Yahoo Brazil claimed the third and fifth spots in the weekly ratings with its live event coverage of the FIFA Club World Cup Japan 2012. An audience larger than 33,000 viewers joined the conversation during Corinthians’, 1-0 triumph over Al-Alhy SC in the tourney semifinals, while almost 29,000 viewers chatted along during Chelsea’s 3-1 victory against Monterrey in the semifinals. The fourth spot in the weekly rankings went to Eurosport France for its live coverage of the premier knockout cup competition in French football, the Coup de France. Almost 30,000 viewers were entertained by the live coverage of the Coupe de France: Draw for the Round of 32. *The CoveritLive blog releases its weekly social TV rankings every Monday.
