Completed Events (Replay Mode)

The CoveritLive Viewer Window automatically updates based on the status of your live event. After you end your event, all of your event content (including commentary and media items) are immediately transformed into instant replay mode for future reading. Replays continue to drive traffic and page views so many users, including news and media organizations keep the event Replay on their website as a permanent archive of the event. Check out a Replay example here.

In the EventDesigner you can now specify a Replay order for your Completed Events. By default all completed event posts appear in "Chronological" order for easy recap reading — with the oldest posts appearing first (at top) and the newest last (at bottom). If "Reverse" is selected then Completed event posts will appear in reverse chronological order — with the newest posts appearing first (at top) and the oldest last (at bottom).

My event ended - but I didn't do it. What happened?

  • If you didn't manually end your event it may have ended automatically after going into Standby Mode. Your live event will automatically go into Standby Mode after it senses no activity from you or other Contributors for 30 minutes. It will automatically change to complete status (permanently ending the event) and close to all comments after 48 hours in Standby Mode. You can keep an event active (live) by having someone log in and re-launch the event within the 48 hour time-frame. Learn more about Standby Mode.
  • If you wish to create long running or continuous events that do not go into Standby Mode we recommend using a CoveritLive Ticker.
