READER INFORMATION

What is CoveritLive and what does it mean to me as a reader on my favorite blog or site?

For readers of a particular site or blog, watching a live event performed with CoveritLive’s software is a new, interesting and sometimes slightly strange experience. In short, CoveritLive’s software allows your favorite writer to create a more live, more engaging live event. The event will be seen by you in a small Viewer Window that’s embedded into the site or blog where you normally go. It can include text commentary, pictures, video, polling questions, links and audio clips as well as instantly send your comments and questions to the writer all in one small area of the site.

CoveritLive is the perfect way to report on:

  • Televised political events (debates, election nights)
  • Sporting events where more (or alternative) commentary makes watching better
  • Press conferences where live information is important to you
  • Financial earnings calls where an analyst provides live perspective

Tips for Readers

  • There’s nothing to do during a live event other than read, watch and occasionally send in a comment or vote in the polling questions.
  • It’s not a chatroom. You go largely to find out what the writer has to say. An open chat with thirty or more readers turns into poor, disjointed content very quickly.
  • Your comments are published at the writer’s discretion. They see everything sent to them but only they can publish your comments for everyone to see.
  • Our ‘autoscroll’ feature ensures you’re always shown the newest content without having to refresh or scroll your screen. You can toggle this on or off by using the controls at the bottom of the Viewer Window.
  • Subtle sound effects alert you to new content as the writer publishes it. This can also be toggled on or off as you like.
