Those of us who watch politics closely have been waiting for Dunderdale to get her meeting with Harper for four or five months. It was originally supposed to be mainly about search and rescue issues, but kind of morphed into a dog's breakfast of issues.

Basically, nobody knows what's going on, and rumours fill in where there's a shortage of facts. They're at the end of a 10-year agreement between NL and Qatar. People don't know if that agreement will get renewed.
Friday September 28, 2012 8:47 James McLeod
8:47

The final agreement expires in August 2013, but that's really not a lot of time to hammer out the details of an international agreement. People are worried.
Friday September 28, 2012 8:47 James McLeod
8:48
Steve Bartlett:
It's a big contract, so it's no wonder people are concerned. What other things did Dunderdale discuss when she met with reporters?
Friday September 28, 2012 8:48 Steve Bartlett
8:48
James McLeod:
The latest rumour is that the campus will be taken over by a college from Albeta, but this seems like it's just a rumour. Dunderdale seemed totally blindsided by the question. If it was really even a remote possibility, I would say that she would've been briefed on it.
Friday September 28, 2012 8:48 James McLeod
8:50
James McLeod:
When Dunderdale talked to reports this week, it really was a bit of everything. She talked about gas sniffing in Natuashish (she says the government will do whatever it takes to help) and David Brazil (who she stands by) and a lot of other issues. It was really a little bit of everything.
