After all the snow, ice pellets, rain and high winds, finally, today there are no weather warnings from Environment Canada.

There are only snow squall watches today for western and northern regions of the province.

It looks like the system moving in on Saturday will affect most of the island again, but snowfall accumulations forecast are in the range of only about 5 cm in western regions of Newfoundland and 5-10 cm in the east.

If the forecast holds true, that's not a lot compared to what we've already received this week.

I just received a comment from Russell in Glasgow. Apparently the winds have subsided there too.

It was so windy in St. John's yesterday, I felt like my shovel and I were about to take off like Mary Poppins when I was trying to remove snow and ice from my driveway.
