Is this going to be a blow out or a really tight game? Since the Jags are such an underdog, I'd guess really close.

I think it is the Patriots in a blowout.  The weather is a non-factor, bad news for the Jags

Which matchup do you expect to be the biggest problem for Patriots? And vice versa.

The Jags can take advantage of the Pats run D, of and this is a BIG IF, they can stay close and control tempo..

Saturday January 12, 2008 8:22
8:23
As for the Jags, I look for the Pats to come out, spread the field with 5 wides, and work the middle of the field.  After Rasheen Mathis, the Jags D-Backs are mediocre at best

Saturday January 12, 2008 8:23
8:28
Early gamble by the Jags pays off with the big play.  Jags coming out and going right at the Pats...
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:28
8:30
David Garrard comes out firing, playing with alot more confidence than he did last week.  Jags take the early 7-0 lead.  They had better be prepared to do it all night long...
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:30
8:32
Pats come out, no huddle, to try and answer the Jags score.  Smart call on the screen, with the Jags D-Line getting up field in a hurry....
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:32
8:33
When is the last time both teams have gone for it...AND GOT IT...on 4th down??
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:33
8:33
In a playoff game that is...!
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:33
8:35
First and Goal, Pats....and they waste no time.  Brady to Watson.  Pats answer the Jags....A bit demoralizing, to say the least....
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:35
8:39
Still early, but this is a huge drive for the Jags.  We'll find out if the Jags plan on being around all night....
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:39
8:43
The first big mistake....A Jags turnover....puts the Patriots in great field position....That won't help the Jags....
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:43
8:47
Maroney running as hard as he has all year....First Quarter comes to an end with the game tied at 7, though it won't be for long....

1 play, 7 points for the Pats.  14-7, and the Jags had better have answer....

Weird bounce on that ball. That could have been a disaster for the Jags. Nothing like driving 95 yards down the field.
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:54 Russ
8:55
Might be anyway.  Everything is "bouncing" the Pats way this year....
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:55
8:57
Jags doing a nice job of slowing down the Pats momentum...
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:57
8:58
Drew becomes the 2nd Jags to slowly leave the field.  The Pats are really laying some wood tonight....
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:58
8:59
Huge penalty and the Jags move inside the Pats' 20....
Saturday January 12, 2008 8:59
9:03
Cannot make dumb mistakes like that...Huge false start penalty...No matter, Garrard, with lots of time, finds Wilford for the TD and we are tied once again...
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:03
9:07
14-14 midway through the 2nd quarter...No worries for Pats fans, since the Jags have showed nothing when it comes to stopping the Pats O....
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:07
9:12
Another first down for the Pats who appear to be the team that wants to slow it down...Look for the Pats to try and end the half with a score on this drive....
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:12
9:15
Tom Brady.....10/10, 101 yards....Dude is locked in....
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:15
9:18
The Pats are the ones pounding the ball now....Remember, the Pats get the ball to start the 2nd half.  A score here, plus another in the 3rd, could be huge!
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:18
9:23
Huge penalty....Chop block moves the Pats back 15 yards...Huge, huge penalty....
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:23
9:25
The Jags hold, with the help of a Pats penalty.  A FG try is a win for the Jags defense, all things considered...
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:25
9:27
The ghost of Adam Vinatieri arrives......Gostkowski misses his first pressure kick and the game remains tied....
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:27
9:31
Halftime arrives, and the Jags are giving the Pats something to think about....

14-14....We'll be back in the 3rd quarter!!!

24/26 combined for the QB's...Solid football all around....
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:45

Every time the Patriots need a big first down they either throw or give the ball to #33.  Kevin Faulk is a hige part of the Pats offense.
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:49
9:51
The officials really letting these teams play tonight.  Alot of contact on each and every play.....
Saturday January 12, 2008 9:51
9:52
Cover Moss.....check
Cover Welker....check
Cover Watson....check...

Cover Gaffney.....DOH!

First Down Pats...

Saturday January 12, 2008 9:52
9:53
And then, the Touchdown pass to Welker.  The only person that knew Brady still had the ball was Brady.

The only thing that will stop the Pats tonight is the Pats...

Jags pick the right time to get Matt Jones back into the offense.  After feuding with Jack Del Rio most of the season, Jones has been an X-Factor tonight.  Can the Pats adjust???
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:02
10:03
To beat the Pats you have to answer their offense every time they score....So far teh Jags have passed the test..
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:03
10:08
Just like the Giants game....The Pats start bringing extra bodies, and it works, though Northcutt shows why he sucked ass in Cleveland.  Huge drop forces the Jags to settle for three....21-17
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:08
10:13
Huge point in the game....The Jags have yet to really stop the Patriots...They better do it now....
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:13
10:15
Maroney proving that the Patriots do have a running game after all...
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:15
10:17
Way too easy.....If you count the missed FG, the Patriots have scored everty time they have had the ball....Just like that it is a 11-point game....

28-17

Saturday January 12, 2008 10:17
10:21
Now might not be the time for the Jags to start trying to run the football....Just like that we are through 3 quarters....This game is flying by, and the Patriots are in command....

END OF 3

Patriots 28 - Jags 17....

Saturday January 12, 2008 10:21
10:26
Give the JAgs credit....twice they have been pushed deep in their own territory to start possessions and both times they have been effective  in moving the ball right down the field...
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:26
10:31
Scobee cuts the lead to 8 and the Jags still have life...

The question still remains - Can the Jags defense stop the Pats offense?  So far they haven't.  They'll need to now...

Saturday January 12, 2008 10:31
10:37
9:39 remains, and the Patriots start from their own 20.  THe Jags show blitz for the 2nd time tonight, and the pressure is enough to stop Maroney after a short gain...

Now might be the time for the Pats to take a shot....

Saturday January 12, 2008 10:37
10:38
What a throw, and even a better catch by another Pats weapon, Donte Stalworth.  They just never stop coming.....ever!
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:38
10:40
A huge drop by Wes Welker forces another Pats FG attempt....This one is good, and the lead is back to 11.

31-20

Saturday January 12, 2008 10:40
10:43
A little trickeration by the Jags gets nothing and they'll once again have to drive the length of the field....
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:43
10:46
The ballgame right here....4th and 5....timeout Jags....
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:46
10:49
3rd personal foul call on Harrison, at least it should have been....Dude is simply hurting his team.........
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:49
10:50
Watching Garrard makes me wonder, "What the hell was Jack Del Rio waiting for all these years???"
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:50
10:52
Once again the game hangs in the balance for the Jags....and Harrison finally does something right getting the interception.....Ball game.  The Pats will host the AFC Championship Game....
Saturday January 12, 2008 10:52
10:57
Donte Stalworth puts the exclamation point on the game, simply wanting the first down more than Rasheen Mathis wanted to make the stop.

One half of the Game of the Millenium is set.  Will the Colts do their part tomorrow?
