A casino makes the most sense in downtown Spfld where spin off development can occur. Much more valuable than a casino in an isolated location

so with a casino in central mass, Eastern MA, CT, and NY. Where exactly are all these casino patrons going to come from? VT and WMass only? All things equal i dont see why someone would drive past another casino just to get to Springfields.

The anti-group did not just come out this past week. Keep in mind funding...they don't have nearly the same amount to spend on billboards and misleading radio ads.

This is a shame this is going to pass. This was clearly more political than economical of the story. It's only pleasing Sarno's friends and a certain majority. I'll be going to Hard Rock and Mohegan Sun.

Does it really matter either way doesn't the gaming board or commission actually have to decide on a town? So if Palmer and west Springfield get yes votes for a casino in their town, what happens then?
Tuesday July 16, 2013 8:44 angie
8:45
Angie, correct, if the other towns also pass agreements, it goes to the Mass Gaming Commission. But passing a referendum is a critical step to getting there.
