Syracuse missed three layups in the first half - one by Joseph and two by Dion (one in which he blew a dunk). Joseph dribbled the ball out of bounds twice on the baseline. Dion did it at the end of the game. Killer turnovers.

This was a Final Four team that simply did not play well. Officiating changed the way the game was played, but had nothing to do with rough games from Joseph and Waiters. Syracuse not good enough to ovecome Ohio State when those two go 6-for-19. Joseph had 2 rebounds. Two? Man, that's just not good.

We had so many opportunities to win this and blew them. The officiating didn't help either. But in the end, we have to own this loss. OSU played tougher and Syracuse unraveled too many times, missed shots they never miss, and played as though they were already defeated. We beat ourselves.

Mike Hoots Refs ignored repeated reach ins and holds by OSU, Kraft especially. Pounding on SU went uncalled, while refs whistled SU for anything. That kept us out of our game. It's common sense, not blame, not rocket science. Refs were in the tank for Ohio State, but s happens. Just don't insult our intelligence by pretending it didn't matter. We saw what we saw. For what it's worth, we got some iffy calls vs Ash. in our 1st game this tourney that helped us. But SU made some mistakes too. Wish refs let the teams play, and called anything close to a consistent game.

It has been a pleasure getting up in the middle of the night and watching them on the internet from over here in the Middle East. Great job by JB, also; there were so many blows suffered this year. He was able to keep the kids focused, it is amazing, given everything that has happened, that we won 33 games. Also, thanks Scoop and KJo for the memories. It's no mistake that Kris participated in more winning games than any player in our history. Good guys. I wish them well in their future endeavors, whatever that might be. Go Cuse!! Jason: No question the refs called the game tight and I think blew the charging call on Triche; but, Sullinger was on the bench most of the first half over his second foul, which was a phantom foul. If it makes you feel better blaming the refs, go for it; but I see a Syracuse team that did not compete on the boards at all and missed a ridiculous number of easy shots around the basket; that was the difference

When a player has 3 or 4 fouls and refs calling close and even phantom touches it does effect how hard one goes for loose balls or crashes the boards. Also assignment of outs left me a bit puzzled. One particular call that would have given OS point guard his fourth was given to a player at least 5 feet from the play. Poor officiating will ALWAYS effect play.

Fans complaining about officials is way off. As Donnie says, Sullinger sat for 14 minutes after being called for nothing. But it was an intense, physical game and there were going to be a lot of whistles, and remember SU had to foul repeatedly at the end. Donnie's right on. Not enough on the boards, missed chippies. And OSU was just a little tougher.

it will be a more balanced team next year. Cooney is best 3 point shooter since GMac and works his butt off. Big Game James can play. Triche needs more minutes. He disappears to the bench every game at the 16:00 minute mark. He does not get enough minutes. Kris Joseph was not designed ot carry this team or any other. He was way out of the game for the last 10 games of the season. Whne big time players were stepping up, he was lost. Brandon, MCW, Big Game, CJ (coming into his own), Rak, DC Keita, Cooney, Grant, --------- this team has depth written all over it. Thye will need to learn to rebound though, and not only after the ball hits the floor first.
