Plenty of Americans in attendance, not to mention plenty of free Nike T-shirts keeping the crowd nice and red.   Speaking of red, McDonald's on the kids?   Couldn't we have sold out with a bit more class?

The jury is still out on the Howard-led back line era of US soccer
Sunday June 8, 2008 6:43 Oak
6:45
We have to agree with both commentors on this.   Starting with Oak, Howard is probably the most talented of the current keepers, but he has yet to show the kind of leadership of a plater like Keller or Friedel.   As for the attacking corps, Johnson's time is running out to make a name for himself up top on this squad.

Deadly cross by Argentina, the US were fortunate to see it wide.   A foul in the box against Argentina may be the makeup many commentors were looking for.

As a US fan, I'm perennially surprised when we score a goal on anything other than a header, free kick, or goof by the defense. It's terribly exciting for me to see some wingers holding the ball well.
