[Comment From TerryTerry: ]
"Teachers have become much more skilled at knowing the specifications and the means by which pupils can be trained to pass." What this means in practice, chris@osl, is that the teachers are having to teach the exam, not the subject. The net result is that the students learn to deal with a specific approach to a subject, rather than a broad spectrum of knowledge. This does not make them any cleverer, and it certainly doesn't prepare them for Uni...

Hi Sarah. Any AS results that are certificated will be passed to UCAS from the exam boards and then sent to the institutions that you have applied to. For medicine applications the deadline is 15th October. You can choose whether to include your alternative choices when you submit your application in October or you can add more choices at any point up until 30th June, however they must be added before the 15th January ideally in order to meet the 'On time' deadline.
