Live Coverage of the Blizzard for tonight through tomorrow

8:37
A significant winter storm is on the way for the entire region that will likely bring over a foot of snowfall over many locations. This is the third potential blizzard for the region, but the first to occur during the work week! This storm will have major impacts on the entire region.
8:41
Moisture is already pushing into southwestern Pennsylvania, but the snowfall will hold off until late evening over southeastern Pennsylvania as the precipitation shield shifts towards the Mid Atlantic coast.
8:43
Meanwhile, pressure falls are starting to develop over the northeastern Gulf of Mexico, however a new coastal low isn't expected to form until later this afternoon.
8:43
I will provide updates and issue any changes that may be needed through the day, so be sure to stop back through your day. Continuous updates and analysis begins tonight at 7:30 PM!
12:43
The 12Z guidance is coming in and with the exception on the NAM, not much has changed in the guidance.
12:45
I'm discounting the 12Z NAM for nowas the warm solution and extreme westen track has little support in other guidance, especially the SREF guidance.
12:46
Otherwise the storm is organizing over the Ohio Valley and Gulf coast. A closed low is starting to develop over the GA coast.
12:47
The guidance from 12Z is basically illustrating the impacts of convective snow bands.
12:48
There are going to be snowfall totals of both extremes of high amounts and lower than expected amounts depending on the position of the snow bands.
12:49
Overall however this storm continues to look like a dangerous storm with a high level of impacts.
