As far as I understand, the IGF review process is now not visible to non-governmental and business stakeholders. However the process might be partially visible to the ITU in its perceived role as a UN agency. This situation is bound to result in an imbalance that would be of benefit to the Telecom members of the ITU who have a keen commercial interest in the Internet. Is there any way by which the MAG could reach out to the UN organs reviewing the IGF mandate and impress upon them to make the present process more transparent and accessible to non-governmental stakeholders? |
