College hockey live blog: Harvard at Cornell
6:40
Hello and welcome to the Ithaca Journal's live blog from the Harvard-Cornell hockey game. I'm Dan Sweeney and I'll be providing live updates throughout the evening.
6:42
I'm running a little bit late, but here are the starting lineups: For Harvard defensemen Ian Tallet and Ryan Grimshaw and forwards Michael Biega, Louis Leblanc and Alex Killorn. In goal it'll be Ryan Carroll.
6:43
For the Big Red forwards Colin Greening, Blake Gallagher and Joe Devin will be on the ice for the opening faceoff as well as defensemen Brendon Nash and Sean Whitney. Ben Scrivens gets the start between the pipes.
6:46
Harvard blew a 4-1 lead entering the third period last night in a 5-4 loss to Colgate. Kyle Richter, the ECAC goalie of the year in 2007-08 started last night and had 35 saves on 39 shots.
6:46
Cornell also had a big third period last night, scoring three goals en route to a 5-1 win over Dartmouth.
6:47
In that game, Cornell's Locke Jillson took a questionable hit and was helped off the ice. He's a scratch tonight.
6:47
Cornell's other scratches are Chris Moulson, Vince Mihalek, Jordan Kary, Nick D'Agostino and Jarred Seymour.
6:48
Officials tonight are John Murphy, Robert St. Lawrence, Christopher Baron and Jim Briggs.
6:50
I'm not on deadline tonight so I'll be able to provide updates until it's all over.
6:51
As always, feel free to join the conversation. I'll do my best to answer all of your questions.
