Chat with David Climer

David Climer -  OK, boys and girls, it's time to talk some tennis ... uh, make that football. This just in: The Titans actually won a game.
11:57
David Climer -  In college football,  wouldn't it be funny if SEC Commish Mike Slive suspended Florida Coach Urban Meyer for the first half of the Vanderbilt game?

How safe is Jeff Fisher's job
12:03
David Climer -  He's under contract through 2011 but I think there is a real disconnect between Fisher and Bud Adams. Fisher was very troubled by Bud's order to go with Vince Young at QB.

With San Francisco having a banged up OL, do you think our front four DL will see a lot of sacks this Sunday? How mobile is Alex Smith?
12:04
David Climer -  Smith is pretty mobile. He ran the spread option for Urban Meyer at Utah and was fairly nimble. I liked the way the Titans pressured David Garrard last  Sunday. I think Chuck Cecil is more inclined to blitz  now than earlier in the season.

What is it about VY that Jeff don't like or is he just that committed to Kerry?
12:05
David Climer -  Oops. Hit the wrong button.

On the pass rush question, Alex Smith is pretty mobile. I liked the increased blitzing by the Titans against the Jags. I hope Chuck Cecil keeps it up.
12:06
David Climer -  On VY, I think Fisher was committed to Collins. Plus, I don't know any coach that appreciates having the owner come in and order him to change players at any position.

"A rival GM told me last week that in watching film of the Titans, Collins clearly wasn't the same player he was last season, when he helped Tennessee win 13 games. Collins didn't seem as comfortable and definitely wasn't as accurate, and he didn't seem to pose any more of a threat even though Tennessee added more offensive weapons, the GM said." An article from NFL.com. What do you think? Which GM was this?
