Tom McGurk - Good morning from the Region 8 wrestling tournament at Absegami High School.
I'm Tom McGurk and I'm joined by Vineland Daily Journal wrestling beat writer Patrick Buganski. We'll bring you all the results from today's action from the opening whistle of the semifinal round to the crowning of the Outstanding Wrestler award later tonight.

9:29	Tom McGurk - Semifinals are slated to start at 10 a.m. Consolations are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Finals introductions will be around 5 p.m.

9:30	Tom McGurk - Just a few changes to this morning's brackets. Penns Grove's Corey Mills (152 pounds), Paulsboro's Chuck Martell and Timber Creek's Bill Bilo (heavyweight) are out.

9:31	Tom McGurk - Martell had a nasty cut on his ear. The junior was decked by Woosdtown's Howie Graber in last night's quarterfinal round.

9:32	Tom McGurk - Bill Bilo has withdrawn from the tournament with a knee injury. Bilo suffered a 9-4 loss to Absegami's Craig Capella in last night's quarterfinal round.

9:33	Tom McGurk - There was no reason given for Mills absence. The freshman was decked by Hammonton's John Bakuckas in 40 seconds in last night's quarterfinal round. Mills had an impressive season, going 18-10 as a freshman 152-pounder.

9:33	Tom McGurk - Patrick, what semifinals are you looking forward to this morning?

9:34	Patrick Buganski - Well Tom, tops on my list has to be Breder/Reger at 140

9:34	Tom McGurk - Got to admit, I've always thought the best wrestling at Region 8 was Saturday morning semifinals. Often times, the finals are anti-climatic.

9:36	Tom McGurk - I'm looking forward to one bout right off the bat with St. Augustine's Joe Esposito and Paulsboro's Anthony Knauer at 103
