Live chat with Jonathan Feigen and Ramona Shelburne

12:11
Ramona Shelburne -  Hi Kris
12:12
[Comment From Cliff Keyes]
I think Artest saw this playoff as an opportunity to show he is as good as or better than Kobe and this is effecting his play.

[Comment From ANDREW]
SINCE WE ARE A SMALLER TEAM THAN LA NOW SHOULD WE FRONT GASOL LIKE THEY DID YAO?
12:14
Ramona Shelburne -  I think we're getting started in a minute or two, but feel free to send questions in for myself and Jon
12:14
Jonathan Feigen -  I'm here, too. I guess we can start, and I'll go ahead and offer an answer to all-caps guy.
12:15
Jonathan Feigen -

It's one thing to front, Andrew. That can help deny the ball. But Portland also sent a second big man to help from behind. The Rockets cannot afford to do that against the Lakers and the triange. It would slow Gasol, but other Lakers would kill them. And though it slowed Yao, the Rockets did win that series.

[Comment From Kris Frost]
Artest has a bad crab dribble and needs to focus on D-Fence
12:17
Ramona Shelburne -

I agree Jon, teams have not had much success fronting Gasol this year

12:17
Jonathan Feigen -  The Rockets need Artest to be a part of the offense. They don't need him to dribble the bumps off the ball.

Whats with the Yao Rumor??
12:18
Ramona Shelburne -  If anything, it's been a bitt more effective for them to try and push him away from the basket and turn him into a high-post passer
12:18
Ramona Shelburne -  He's very good at passing from that spot, but at least you get a 7footer away from the basket
12:18
Jonathan Feigen -

Don't know what rumor you have heard, but I'm guess it is a rumor worth ignoring.

[Comment From Tommy]
What do you think is more important to winning tonight (for either team): intensity or gameplan?
12:18
Ramona Shelburne -  Teams have had success at fronting Bynum though
12:19
Ramona Shelburne -

For the Lakers, intensity. For the Rockets, both

12:19
Jonathan Feigen -  I don't know, Tommy, why it has to be one or the other. But game plans are useless without intensity.
12:19
[Comment From Jim]
Is Dorsey hurt or does Adelman just feel he's of less use than even Brian Cook?
12:20
Jonathan Feigen -  He's not 100 percent, but he is of no use because he has almost never participated in an NBA game and has not practiced in months. I'm not sure he knows the plays. If he were a proven NBA veteran and sat out a year he would struggle. Here, we're talking about a rookie project who has almost not played at all since he left Memphis

[Comment From Karen]
Jonathan - are we going to kick their b.... tonight?
