Will Lidge come back strong or was last year a flash-in-the-pan performance?
11:03
Andy Martino -  Hello from Tampa. I've been so busy lately, I'm thinking of taking a stroll on the Appalachian Trail, or perhaps a jaunt to Argentina. Juts don't tell my family....anyhoo, Bob, Lidge's success will probably depend on how his knee feels, and last night he said it felt good.   He has the stuff and ability to be a great closer when healthy.

Andy- great article about Utley. Also-How is Jimmy handling being in contention for the ASG? Does he think he deserves it? What is wrong with his swing?
11:05
Andy Martino -

Michael Chiklis (sp?), is that you?   Thanks for the kind words on Utley. Jimmy hasn't said anything about the ASG, but of course he does not deserve it this year.   He thinks that his swing was flattening out for a while, causing him to pop up a lot.   He has diagnosed the problem, but hitters have a hard time fixing these things midseason, against big league pitching.

J-Roll can't seem to get it going. How long will Charlie keep him as leadoff man?
11:07
Andy Martino -  Answer: "Jimmy is my leadoff man." Question: What phrase   has Charlie Manuel uttered most freuently this season.

Why not Shane as the permanent leadoff hitter?
11:08
Andy Martino -  Charlie doesn't want that.   Obviously, Victorino's OBP is much higher than Rollins'.   Manuel believes that Rollins will come around.   I understand how this could be frustrating for people rooting for this team.   Call me crazy, but Werth wouldn't be ridiculous choice as a leadoff hitter, either.

With Mayberry Jr. starting to look more comfortable at the plate, what are the chances of the Phillies moving Werth to possibly land a top of the rotation arm?
