I think OU will win, but it's not for certain and it won't be easy. Nebraska is a tough place to play, and the Husker defense will keep NU in the game.

It's crazy that baseball went into November. Ridiculous. We had only a couple of games that were adversely affected by weather, but the post-season is stretched out way too long. Condense, condense, condense.

The Thunder is all right. 2-2 is not bad for the schedule. I think they're much improved, and both Durant and Westbrook have stunk in the last two games, both losses. I think both will play much better. I'm encouraged about the Thunder's progress.

Also, do you think Westbrook is a point guard. He's been playing sloppily.

Yes, I think he's a point guard. I have no idea how good he will be, and nobody else does, either. He's a 21-year-old point guard, and four games ago he was a 20-year-old point guard. To make judgments about 21-year-old point guards is foolish. Westbrook last year averaged 15 points and 5 assists a game, with far too many turnovers. But that was one of the top 10 rookie point guard seasons in NBA history.

You think Dez Bryant will be a good NFL player? Does he have his head on straight and will Deion be his agent?

I think Dez will be a good NFL player. I don't believe he has his head on straight. I think it's a big mistake to go to Tampa and start working out. He needs to stay in STillwater, where he's got some structure. I am worried about that. I don't think Deion is in the agent business.

Any OU or OSU non-conference games your excited about in the future? Notre Dame, perhaps?

I'm excited about OU games vs. Florida State, Notre Dame, Tennessee, LSU, Ohio STate. All of them. But I'm most excited about the Army series. I've always wanted to go to West Point. OSU doesn't have that kind of sizzle in its upcoming games, but the Cowboys are playing NC State and Arizona, which should be interesting.

I realize Russell Westbrook struggled the last two games, but folks can't be serious that they're ready to give up on him as a point guard already, right? RIGHT?

Yes, they're serious. They're also silly. Here's the problem. None of us knew anything about the NBA when it came. Some people want to be experts, though, so they say something, then they cling to that to prove their mettle. Russell Westbrook is a four-year project at least. All 20-year-old point guards are. That's the price you pay when you decide you're going nowhere with Luke Ridnour.

Yes, I think OSU could struggle, too. Like OU, OSU should win. But it might not be easy. Iowa State is improved, and this is a classic trap game, which I think we're writing about in tomorrow's paper.
