Fumo Live Blog - Monday, Feb. 9

9:07
Robert Moran -  Good morning. The trial doesn't start until about 10 a.m., but a small crowd of early spectators already has claimed seats for Gov. Rendell's testimony.
9:15
Robert Moran -  Rendell's testimony is expected to be very limited in scope, focusing on his observations about how hard Fumo and his staff work. Others have testified on this point, but Rendell will bring star power and may wind up being the defense team's closer.
9:32
Robert Moran -  Looks like there will be lots of column-writing about today's sessions. The Inquirer has two columnists here (not counting the two reporters who regularly cover the trial). John Baer, the Daily News' Harrisburg columnist, has arrived. He's great.
9:43
Robert Moran -  Fumo lawyer Dennis Cogan said Fumo will testify today. He said the retired senator will testify "about a lot of things. Go through the case."
9:48
Robert Moran -  There had been some speculation that Fumo might testify to a very narrow set of questions, but Cogan seemed to indicate that Fumo will be more expansive.

9:50
Robert Moran -  The courtroom is close to full with spectators and media.
9:51
Robert Moran -  Fumo's girlfriend Carolyn Zinni has arrived. She attends most Mondays.
9:57
Robert Moran -  The trial should resume in a few moments. It is now standing-room only.
10:04
Robert Moran -  Court is in session. Cogan calls Gov. Rendell.
10:05
Robert Moran -  Rendell came through the back door where the judge's chambers are.
