Otters vs. Attack

6:48
Welcome to Tullio Arena, where the Erie Otters face the Owen Sound Attack at Tullio Arena in a battle for seventh place in the Western Conference.
6:50
The Otters will play without D Tyler Hostetter for the fourth straight game. But RW Shawn Szydlowski will play after leaving Sunday's game early after aggravating a nagging leg injury. D Paul Cianfrini also will play after not being suspended by the OHL for his game misconduct Sunday.

7:05
It's about time to drop the puck. But before we begin, we've got to give props to a certain fourth-grader at Erie Day School, who did a wonderful rendition of the American and Canadian national anthems. Well done!
7:08
The Attack will get the first PP of the game - 1:11 into the first period. The Attack are 11th in the OHL with the man advantage (18.6 percent). The Otters' PK still ranks 1st at 86.4 percent despite struggling mightily over the past 6 games.

So what is your prediction for this game?
7:09
It's so hard to predict with this team because you don't know what you'll get from period to period, let alone game to game. But if I had to venture a guess, I would say 4-3 Owen Sound in OT (the Attack are well-versed in playing extra time.
7:11
The Otters successfully killed off the game's opening PP.

I think the Otters are going to come out playing twice as hard tonight knowing that the win will clinch them the spot in the playoffs
7:12
They had a chance to clinch a playoff spot on Sunday. Look how poorly they played that night.

Yes, but that was also the third game in three nights
7:14
I understand that, but I'm not buying into that third game in three nights talk any longer. These veterans have anywhere from 10-12 three-in-threes in their career. It shouldn't be that big of a deal anymore. Besides, they played at home the night before, so there wasn't any travel involved and they slept in their own beds at home the night before.
7:18
Owen Sound has some jump to their game, looks like arriving earlier in the day has prevented those dreaded bus legs.
7:25
The Otters have their first PP of the night.
7:26
And the Attack score SH on a great shot from Marcus Carroll on the wing.
7:26
1-0 Attack
7:27
Stajcer than robs Breen in front. Breen still doesn't have a goal as an Otter.

whats the update with yogen
7:28
He's still making his way back from a concussion. It's difficult to put timetables on concussions. They're too unpredictable.

is he missed in the lineup
7:29
You better believe it. He's in my opinion the Otters' best pure goal scorer. He wants the puck, he wants to shoot, he wants to score - not many Otters have that attitude.
