College basketball: Seton Hall at Cornell

6:26
The long awaited home opener for Cornell tips off at 7 p.m. tonight, with Seton Hall visiting Newman Arena. The Pirates are the first Big East team to play at Newman, where Cornell owns a 21-game win streak.

Surprisingly enough, the Vegas book has Cornell as a three-point favorite tonight. The 2008-09 Ivy League championship banner will be raised in a pregame ceremony. Only 60 tickets remained at approximately 3:30 p.m. today, so a sellout is expected.

Starting lineups to follow as soon as I get them. Barry Leonard has the radio call at WVBR (93.5), and Time Warner Cable Sports is televising the game.

Perhaps tonight's biggest pre-game shocker? Miley Cyrus was included in the warm-up music. Go figure.

Brian Delaney here. Feel free to join the conversation as the night progresses. Back in a bit.

Seton Hall is very well represented in the stands. Lots of blue on the upper level behind the benches, and most of the first 10 to 15 rows behind the SHU bench.

Building is rockin right now. Seton Hall's players look absolutely ready to play. The body language is telling. They know this is a legitimate test tonight.

101-year old Sterling MacAdams and faculty advisor Carol Hardy helped unveil the championship banners, one that says "Cornell Men's Basketball Ivy League Champions 2009" and one that says "Cornell Men's Basketball NCAA Tournament 2009"

And we're under way...
