good question. i think first of all coach hooks has a lot to do with that. its an established program and having very good athletes does not hurt.

High schools in Louisiana are allowed to scrimmage against other schools during the spring. Would you like for Texas schools to be able to scrimmage against each other in the spring?

Coach Crouch - it would be an excellent idea to do. i doubt the UIL would go for it. There is a lot of merit to that.

Why wouldn't the UIL go for spring scrimmages?

BeaumontEnterprise.com - i think that because there are so many spring sports that involve so many athletes, they might feel like it would possibly hinder from the other sports if it was a game-type situation. i know they don't want to detract from any of the spring sports. I think that is one of the reasons.
