World Series Game 4 Southpaw

7:13
York Daily Record -

Welcome to the Southpaw for the World Series Game 4 chat. If you've been here before, thanks for returning. If this is your first time joining us, I hope you have fun and enjoy the night.

Last night, the Southpaw had three prior engagements and couldn't chat. Of course, the New York Yankees had a fantastic evening, rallying from a 3-0 deficit and beating Cole Hamels, the 2008 NLCS and World Series MVP.

For the Philadelphia Phillies, Jayson Werth was the only player who showed up in game 3.

So the Phillies trail 2-games to 1.

The Yankees send their ace,  CC Sabathia,  to the hill. He's 3-1 this post season and won 19 games this season.

The Phillies send Joe Blanton to to dual with the southpaw. Blanton was 12-10 on the season. While he's making just his second post-season start this year, he went 2-0 with a 3.17 ERA during last season's championship run.

York Daily Record -  Tonight's chat includes the added bonus of Brad Jennings providing Tweets from Citizens Bank Park. Phillies fans are hoping he can bring them back a 'W.'

York Daily Record -

So far, the World Series has been pretty even. Both teams have scored 12 runs.
The interesting thing is how both teams were the best offensive squads in their leagues, but the meat of their orders are struggling.
Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira are both batting .100 over the first two games. Robinson Cano is batting .091, Melky Cabrera is at .100 and Johnny Damon is at .167.
For the Phillies, Shane Victorino and Chase Utley are both at .182. Ryan Howards is batting .152 while Pedro Feliz is at .091. Jimmy Rollins has been slightly more productive, batting .200.

Yeah, you didn't make it to all of them, Abdalla!

Hey, we were delayed, but we made it to where we were told you guys would be.

7:41
York Daily Record -  And three engagements across the county, including one with family, is difficult to negotiate.

Do you think it bodes well for the Phils that the Vikings won? Isn't there some sort of Karma here...?
7:43
York Daily Record -

The Vikings? Don't quite get that one. Do you mean the Eagles?

No, I've just come to equate Brett Favre with Satan.
7:44
York Daily Record -  Not going to argue that point.
7:44
York Daily Record -  But, he plays like a little boy.

This is true. I suppose that's why he wins: He enjoys the game.

York Daily Record -

At one of last night's engagements, a man said Brett Favre was the second best quarterback ever.

second best to whom?

He even said he would take Favre over Tom Brady, Joe Montana and John Elway.
