Live: Sengoku 11

1:27
Jordan Breen -  Welcome heads to Sherdog.com's live chat for Sengoku's 11th Battle card from Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan and live on HDNet. I'll be chatting over the balance of the event, and taking your comments and questions. You can start submitting your commentaries now, and I'll answer them over the event.
1:28
Jordan Breen -  We'll get started in just about three minutes. HDNet's broadcast starts at the top of the hour, but the preliminary bout between Ryota Uozomi and Yuichiro Yajima starts before the televised card, plus we can answer some questions in that time.
1:33
Mike Fridley -  Good evening, all. We'll be getting to your questions shortly.

Can Masvidal really survive Kitaoka's single-leg and manage to not get submitted in the first?
1:39
Mike Fridley -  No. He might as well tap now.

Jordan Breen -  He can. Whether he will is another story. If he can't, it's all on him, though. He's had a long while to prepare for an incredibly predictable opening salvo from Kitaoka. Also, word from the arena is that during warm-ups, Kitaoka practiced nothing but his guillotine and Achilles lock in the ring.

Breen, how good do you think Mamed Khalidov's chances are against Jorge Santiago tonight? And on radio you said he didn't want to be called "Cannibal" any more. Why not? That nickname is bad ass.

Jordan Breen -  I said on radio this week I thought he was a textbook live underdog. My rational feeling is that Santiago is going to take him down and be positionally dominant, but Khalidov has some submission chops. More importantly, Santiago's chin is suspect, and Khalidov not only hits hard, but he has unpredictable offense. He won't just throw big punches, but he'll mix in flying knees, spinning hook kicks, and other exotic techniques. If Santiago is careless, he could end up highlight reeled again.

As for the "Cannibal" nickname, it was given to him in the MMA media, and it stuck, but he wasn't especially fond of it. As a devout Muslim, he said he felt the nickname was inappropriate and asked it be squashed. Tsk tsk tsk.

Jordan Breen -  Also, Ryota Uozomi just defeated Yuichiro Yajima by armbar in the evening's opening preliminary bout, just under two minutes into the first round. A good night for Kingdom Ehrgeiz, I suppose.
