1:43 | | Jordan Breen - I said on radio this week I thought he was a textbook live underdog. My rational feeling is that Santiago is going to take him down and be positionally dominant, but Khalidov has some submission chops. More importantly, Santiago's chin is suspect, and Khalidov not only hits hard, but he has unpredictable offense. He won't just throw big punches, but he'll mix in flying knees, spinning hook kicks, and other exotic techniques. If Santiago is careless, he could end up highlight reeled again.
As for the "Cannibal" nickname, it was given to him in the MMA media, and it stuck, but he wasn't especially fond of it. As a devout Muslim, he said he felt the nickname was inappropriate and asked it be squashed. Tsk tsk tsk. |
