Journalism.co.uk -  Hi all,

Welcome to the live interview with Sherine Tadros and Ayman Mohyeldin, the Al Jazeera English journalists who covered the war in Gaza, in Gaza - during the international media ban. Journalism.co.uk first met them in person in February but for the benefit of everyone joining now let's start with a bit of background. Note - this interview will focus on the journalistic process, rather than the events themselves. Followers - please leave your comments underneath the post or send via @journalism_live on Twitter and they'll be incorporated into the interview.

Journalism.co.uk -  It's 2pm BST so let's get going! I'll label questions to either Sherine, or Ayman or both. It will last for about 45 mins - to one hour. So a question to both of you - what are your normal job descriptions and where are you based?
2:03
Ayman -  I am a Correspondent for Al Jazeera English based in Gaza, where I mostly cover the Gaza Strip, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

2:03
Sherine Tadros -  I am a reporter, based in Doha for the past two years covering, mainly,  the Middle East.
2:04
Journalism.co.uk -  So Sherine, your normal patch wasn't Gaza then?
2:05
Sherine Tadros -  No...in fact i was sent on assignment to Jerusalem for 2 weeks in October and was told its very unlikely i'd go to cover Gaza as Ayman was there already.
2:06
Journalism.co.uk -  Sherine: how did you   end up in Gaza then?
