[Comment From Jennifer]
I'm looking for a paralegal position and I've been going at the search relentlessly since graduation in May with nothing to show for it. I'm completely frustrated. What do you suggest?
11:30
Christine Bolzan -  Jennifer- thank you for your question.
11:31
Christine Bolzan -  Ask yourself 2 questions.   1- Are you casting a wide enough net?   With regards to industry, role, geography...
11:32
Christine Bolzan -  2- Are you networking as effectively as possible?   Many jobs are not even posted online or elsewhere these days.   Word-of-mouth and employee referral account for the vast amount of recruiting efforts.   Make sure everyone you know is aware of what you are looking for and what you have to offer.
11:33
Christine Bolzan -  For paralegal roles, look beyond the traditional law firms.   Also consider paralegal roles in house in legal depts of hospitals, insurance companies, telecommunications firms, and within the government.

[Comment From Tom P]
I just graduated with an MBA and I am having trouble finding a job. Can you point me to resources to assist me? Any particular websites I should be looking at?
11:34
Christine Bolzan -  Hi Tom.   Thanks for your question.   Were you able to avail yourself of your business school's career center?
11:35
Christine Bolzan -  Many schools will continue to help you even after graduation.   Your alma mater and the alumni network is a terrific place to start to look for advice and leads within industries of interest.
