[Comment From Bill Vacch]
Hey Pat, as Marty stated in homeroom senior year "PHILLIES FEVER" ! What do you think of Yanks 3 day rest plan all series? I did not agree with it and I hope it comes back to bite them.
12:56
Pat McLoone -  Vacch: Good to get a question from Central Pa. Charlie got criticized for not using Lee in Game 4 on 3 days rest. Had the Phillies won one of first two in Philly he absolutely would have looked brilliant.

[Comment From Guest]
Whose going to start game 7 ?
12:57
Pat McLoone -  There has to be a Game 7 first. Knowing Charlie and what loyalty means to him, you have to think Hamels. Your call?
12:57
[Comment From Debbie]
Was too much made of Cole Hamels' comment?
12:59
Pat McLoone -  Debbie: Initially, I would have said bleep no. But when you heard the whole string of quotes and how they were asked, I would say it has been a bit overblown

[Comment From Ed in Mayfair]
Pat, is it safe to assume Ibanez DH's tomorrow with B. Francisco in left?
1:01
Pat McLoone -  Mayfair Ed: You would think so. It struck me last night. What if Victorino was hurt and couldn't go? Francisco goes to outfield. That would be OK in Philly. But in NY? With the DH? With Francisco already in lineup, who is your DH? Eric Bruntlett with a left pitching? Stairs against a lefty? That could be big if the injury turns south.

[Comment From JC]
Will the Phillies be able to sign Lee to an extension this off season?
1:03
Pat McLoone -  JC: pretty sure he is under contract for next year. But you know the Phillies are interested in having Lee for rest of his career.

[Comment From KevK]
Bottom of the 7th, phils lead goes from 4 to 6, Lee is over 100 already. Double switch at the beginning of the inning puts Chan Ho on the mound, Francisco in left. Eliminates the need for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the 8th too. Gives Manual the best defensive outfield possible with a 6 run lead, and the chance to let Chan Ho at least start the 9th if he goes 1-2-3 in the eigth (which he did). This is not hindsight, I was screaming this when the TV showed Lee warming up in the 8th. Charlie really has not had a good WS.
1:04
Pat McLoone -  KevK: What you say has a lot of merit. Here is where I disagree. for one inning, Chan Ho Park would be my pick, any day. Not so sure about him going out for a second. That backfired at least once in Dodgers series.

[Comment From DocB]
If you were Charlie, would YOU risk Hamels in a game 7? He seems to be quite a head case at this time.
1:07
Pat McLoone -  DocB: I would be real reluctant. But, if it happens, I think the thinking will be to let him go out there and keep a real short leash. You literally can throw pretty much anybody but Pedro.

[Comment From Pat - Havertown]
Pat, overall I think Charlie is a great manager and motivator. But I must say I think some of his decisions in ths series have been suspect. For example, why swap out Victorino last night for Francisco instead of Ibanz, why bat Stairs last night instead of Bruntlett (or anyone that can drop a bunt for that matter to move over Chooch, including Myers). Thankfully neither decision made much of a difference but if things got tied up they would have been huge mistakes.
1:09
Pat McLoone -  Pat: All good points. One thing, though. Charlie is not a big bunt guy. If he was, that Bruntlett move makes sense. Hard not to root for Stairs hitting a ball 700 feet, though. Any guy in a slow-pitch softball league can identify with Stairs.

[Comment From Dan In Holmesburg]
Since we're about to face a lefty in the Bronx (2 if we go to a game 7), I assume Francisco is in the batting order. Is Shane Victorino hurt enough to force him to the DH spot and have Francisco, Werth, and Ibanez play the outfield spots?
