SportsTalks David Marcus - Mike, thanks for the nice comment...glad you're a loyal viewer! Don Nelson knows the Mavs better than anyone. He knows how to exploit matchups and he'll always be that mad scientist who toys around with strange substitutions. He's dangerous and I know the Mavs are happy he's not in the playoffs this year.

SportsTalks David Marcus - Ron, they're playing with more confidence and Dirk is playing at a very high level right now. Even without Josh Howard, they are getting into an offensive flow and not forcing shots, which I feel they were doing early in the season. I agree with Josh...Kidd is running more...they sure did in the first quarter vs. Portland. They will have problems with quicker point guards, but that's to be expected.

SportsTalks David Marcus - Marqui, assuming the Mavs get that far (or the 8th seed), I don't see them having much of a chance, if the Lakers play their game. If L.A. comes out and treats Dallas the same way the Mavs treated Golden State a couple of years back in the first round, all bets are off. But the Lakers are too talented and too quick for the Mavs.

SportsTalk Producer Josh - The thing is, with the Mavs surging right now, they might not be the 8th seed. Right now they are close to that 3rd seed.
