Shingo Kohara and Jeremy Tavares touch gloves to kick of tonight's fights. Tavares scores early, then takes Kohara to the canvas. They return to their feet, but are quickly back to the mat. Kohara passes and lands a few shots but Tavares reverses to the top. Kohara attempts an armbar but Tavares escapes. Another armbar attempt allows Tavares passes to side control then presses Kohara against the fence and throws punches until the end of the round. MMAFrenzy.com scores the close round in favor of Tavares, 10-9.

8:27	Kohara scored the KO with a knee to face that put Tavares out cold. He awoke several seconds later and left the cage under his own power.

Opening hihg kick by James Terry is blocked by Zac Bucia. Terry is the agressor early, clinching with Terry before taking him down.Bucia back his feet, but Terry tries to get him back down. After blocking a high kick, Terry gets Bucia back to the ground and goes to work from side control. Little offense from Terry as Bucia regains guard. Terry begins to throw punches and Bucia counters with weak strikes from the bottom. Several more punches are thrown by Terry before the first round concludes. Terry opens the third circling and striking before taking Bucia down. Terry does little from side control over the final minutes and is unsuccessful is his attempt to mount Bucia. 8:51	The judge's scores were initially incorrectly announced in favor of Bucia, who alerted the announcer of the mistake before the correct scores were announced.

8:55	Raul Castilla submitted Brandon Michaels with a rear naked choke 1:45 into the opening round.

8:56	Tito Ortiz, Renato "Babalu" Sobral, and Jake Shields are among those in the crowd in the half-filled HP Pavilion.

9:08	After nearly being submitted with an armbar, Eric Lawson escapes to mount and finishes off Waylon Kennell in the closing seconds of the first round with punches.
