Pinkerton title game
6:52
Well, better late than never. After fighing for some internet access, I'm finally up for the third period of Pinkerton's state title tilt with Hanover.
6:53
It's been a thrilling first two periods. The first was dominated by Hanover, J.J. Solloway kept the Astros in it.
6:54
The Astros took the lead 5:21 into the second, when John Cebula fired home a goal off a pass from Andrew Stefanelli. So it's 1-0 going into the third period.
6:54
Solloway has 18 saves. Pinkerton has taken 13 shots.
7:00
The puck has dropped in the third. Hanover opened with the puck, and fired a shot over Solloway's shoulder.
7:01
Solloway just made another big save, but Pinkerton has been hit with a penalty, hooking, its first of the game. Hanover has been called for three.
7:05
The Astros killed the penalty, and Solloway continues to shine. He has 25 saves now.
7:09
Pinkerton now has a 2-0 lead with 8:50 left in the game. Alex Campbell fired in a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle. Cam Romano earned an assist on the goal.
7:12
Solloway has lived up to his billing. Another amazing save on a shot low. He has 28 stops now.
7:16
Pinkerton has only 1 -- yes 1 -- shot in the third period. But that shot was a goal and they still have the 2-0 lead.
