Will the Journal finally be doing some real investigation into the failed Williamson administration?

As most of you have probably seen, we've done a lot of stories on City Hall including some of staff writer Joe Lawlor's stories on City Hall finances, arguments with City Council as well as past stories on lawsuit settlements and other ongoing issues.

Other ideas always are appreciated too! You can be sure though that The Journal will continue to dedicate itself to what is happening in Flint and other Genesee County communities.

There's a comment after the article about Forbes Magazine's ranking of Flint that states Flint will shrink to the Cultural area, UM, Hurley, Carriage Town & Kettering, saying that the rest of the city should be plowed under and trees planted. Any comment?

There certainly are some shining gems of this community in those neighborhoods, but there are lots of good things going on elsewhere in the city. I find by just going out and talking to people -- those all over the city, not just those in these select neighborhoods -- that residents here love their city and are doing amazing things to help Flint out.
