The Yankees find themselves in an 0-1 hole against the World Champion Philadelphia Phillies.
We have an intriguing pitching duel tonight.
For the Bronx Bombers, we have A.J. Burnett. He was a high-priced free agent brought in to win big games like this. However, the lanky right-hander lost to the Phillies earlier this year and is 5-8 against the boys fom Philly all-time.
The Phillies throw one of the all-time greats to the hill: Pedro Martinez. The three-time Cy Young winner has pitched well against the Yankees in the past, going 11-11 with a 3.20 ERA. Meanwhile, he's been almost spectacular in The Bronx, going 8-4 with a 2.95 ERA.

The visiting Phillies have a slight lineup change:
Matt Stairs takes over in the designated hitter spot, which moves Raul Ibanez to left.
