How will he be remembered, not so much in Nashville, but around the country?

David Climer
- I think Steve will be remembered for the courageous way he played the position. He played when he was hurt. He played when he was injured. And he almost always played well. He was also a selfless guy who deflected praise to his teammates.

Do we have any more details about Steve's death? This is sad, horrific news for Tennesseans, Mississippians and anyone who admired Steve's selflessness, his positive attitude and his smile.

- Things are still sketchy. After the initial, brief press conference by a police spokesman, I suspect we will have another press briefing in the next couple of hours.

I just want to remember him as the warrior he was.. it brings tear to my eyes this kind of situation.. when i found out about McNair`s death i can only think about the second to last play of super bowl XXXIV. That play shows his courague, mental and phyisical ability and most important of all his heart. RIP Steve McNair Oilers/Titans fans will remember you.

- He truly did have a warrior mentality. I remember writing once that he should consider sitting out a game to recover. That day, he couldn't even get through pre-game warmups, went into the locker room and got a pain-killing shot and engineered a remarkable late-game comeback at the Meadowlands.
