- We're live here from Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie and getting ready for a Class 1A state semifinal matchup between Cambridge Christian and Lake Worth Trinity Christian.

- It's certainly been an interesting couple of days. Here's a quick synopsis of what has transpired in relation to this game...
The FHSAA issued what amounted to season-ending suspensions to all but one of Trinity Christian's varsity players on Tuesday. On Wednesday morning, Trinity Christian officials filed an injunction in a St. Lucie court to have the FHSAA's decision overturned. The court ruled in favor of Trinity Christian, meaning the bulk of its varsity roster is eligible to play against Cambridge. Only two players, who were not listed in the injuction, remain ineligible. One is the team's starting center fielder, the other is the team's No. 2 pitcher.

- The good news is Cambridge Christian continued to prepare to play today, so they should be good to go for today's game.

- The winner of this game will meet Deltona Trinity Christian, which defeated Jacksonville Eagle's View earlier this morning in a semifinal matchup, in the Class 1A state championship. That game is tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m. on Thursday.
Just a side note: Cambridge played both Deltona Trinity Christian and Jacksonville Eagle's View in last year's state tournament. The Lancers earned a mercy-rule victory over Deltona Trinity Christian in a semifinal before losing to Eagle's View in the state title game.

- The Class 3A state semifinal between Plantation American Heritage and Fort Pierce John Carroll has just ended, with American Heritage winning. The start of that game was delayed due to inclement weather.
An FHSAA spokesperson said earlier today the Cambridge Christian-Lake Worth Trinity Christian game would start approximately 45 minutes at the conclusion of the American Heritage-John Carroll game. So, that puts us with an approximate start time of around 5:15 p.m.

- Another side note: Should Lake Worth Trinity Christian defeat Cambridge Christian today and the court ruling should be overturned at a later time, Cambridge would still be eliminated from the state tournament and Trinity Christian's spot would be vacated.
So, if Trinity Christian goes on to win a state title and today's decision is overturned later, the Class 1A state championship would be vacated and no school would be crowned champ.
It is unknown at this time whether the FHSAA plans to appeal today's court decision.
Just a few things to ponder as we wait to get started. Of course, Cambridge Christian has the chance to nullify all those scenarios by simply winning today.

So what's the bottom line Adam, did they win that injunction or is Trinity Christian fielding JV players.
