[Comment From Diehard Raider]
How much longer can we keep Rick Stockstill at MTSU if he takes us to another bowl game?
3:05
Adam Sparks -  Good question. Keep in mind that Stockstill has a losing record (22-23) at MTSU. But that's a little deceiving. He has a 16-9 Sun Belt mark, and three of those seasons were played with no more than 75 scholarship players. If MTSU goes to its second bowl in four years, Stockstill's name could get mentioned among a few jobs this offseason — but probably on the mid-major level. After all, it's hard to sell a coach with a .500 record to a fan base, at least it is at a BCS school. There are a lot of factors that are hard go gauge. The right job has to come open — geographically, monetarily, and fit — for Stock to leave. Central Florida (or any high-end mid-major that could pay $500-plus) could pull him away. The best-case scenario for MTSU is that Stock stays about 2-3 more years, goes to more bowls, and then a job like Clemson comes open and pulls him away.

[Comment From Dasher for President]
Is there anyway Tony Franklin could have any plays for Dasher as a receiver, where opponents would have to defend Dasher in another way. Other teams have moved their QBs around. Kordell Stewart at Pittsburgh. Randle El and Hines Ward are converted WRs...
3:08
Adam Sparks -  Dasher doesn't really have the body type/skill set for WR. Plus, there is not a plausible plan-B at QB. Dasher is far ahead of Burnette and other backups. Sure, Dasher could be moved to WR for a trick play or two, but it would mostly be to confuse the defense. I don't think Dasher is that much of threat as a WR. But I'm also not a fan of MTSU running a wildcat package for someone else in shotgun. After all, Dasher is the team's best runner, and he's already at QB. Why put someone else back there?

[Comment From Bowl Bound Baby]
How many more wins until we can be virtually locked in as a bowl?
3:12
Adam Sparks -  Two more wins (7 total) will earn priority over any six-win team for an at-large bowl. But that's the key term — "at-large bowl." MTSU could go 9-3 and not get into a bowl, if none are available. Sure, 8-4 or 9-3 offers a better shot than 7-5, but there are no guarantees. MTSU ultimately has no control over its bowl hopes beyond winning games. If all conferences fill their allotted bowl spots, then MTSU could get left out. But that is highly unlikely. There are 34 bowls (68 bowl teams), and some conferences fail to fill their spots every year. MTSU is keeping an eye on which conference(s) fail to fill their automatic spots. SEC, CUSA and ACC are certainly possibilities. Too little time and space to go through all scenarios, but if you want MTSU to go to Birmingham for the PapaJohns Bowl, root for Vandy every week. The Dores need to knock off some SEC teams with bowl hopes.

[Comment From Kyle]
Do you see this game being as close as Stock is saying? Do you think FIU can / will pull an upset?
