I'm starting things off with a football question. When is spring practice and how many of the signees will be participating? Is there a spring game? And, is there a quarterback controversy?
12:04
Jim Kleinpeter, T-P -  Spring practice begins March 12 and breaks   a week for spring break. The spring game will be April 18. Five signees including Russel Shepard, will participate. No QB controversy really. Jordan Jefferson enters as the No. 1 guy. But Jarrett Lee will be competing too, as will Shepard and freshman Chris Garrett.

Jim, the Tigers have been on a roll. What do you think about the Kentucky game?
12:08
Jim Kleinpeter, T-P -  Tough place to try and win. LSU hasn't won there in 20 years, lost 10 straight. Plus Kentucky is ticked off after getting hammered by South Carolina. That being said, I keep waiting for this LSU team to lose one mand they keep finding a way to win. I see a close game. Kentucky has some weaknesses, it's just that Rupp Arena advantage that scares me.

You think the baseball team will stay No. 1 until they lose? Or does it work that way with that poll? I mean, nobody goes undefeated ...
12:10
Jim Kleinpeter, T-P -  If they lose one game, probably not, depending on who they lose to. If they lost to a really bad team and the No. 2 team swept a really good team, probably. Being No. 1 in baseball doesn't mean near as much as in the other sports. It's just a nice window dressing.

If the basketball team wins out and wins the SEC tournament, what seed do you think they will get in the NCAA tournament?
12:12
Jim Kleinpeter, T-P -  No lower than a No. 4 and maybe a No. 3. Of course it really depends on the other teams jockeying for those slots. If LSU wins out it would have 30 victories. If a couple of the heavyweight teams tank toward the end, LSU would move up accordingly. Hard to say for sure.
