Jason Sobel's Live Analysis From Round 3 of the Tour Championship

Kevin Maguire, ESPN.com -  Thanks for stopping by for an early start to Round 3 of the Tour Championship. Jason Sobel will be joining us shortly.

@JasonSobel -

Good morning from dry (so far) East Lake Golf Club, where Mother Nature has yet to unleash any rain and Round 3 of the Tour Championship is already under way.

In case you missed the news yesterday, tee times for today’s round were moved up some four hours in an attempt to avoid some ugly storms that appear to be heading for the area later this afternoon.

The final pairing of Tiger Woods and Padraig Harrington won’t start their round for another 20 minutes, but already there’s plenty of action on the course.

Steve Marino, Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk and David Toms are each 1-under-par for the day and have moved into a share of seventh place at 1-under for the tournament, just 4 shots behind Woods. And Steve Stricker – currently projected at No. 3 in the FedEx Cup race – is 2-under for the day after making a 76-foot birdie bomb on the fifth hole.

I’ll be here with the Live Blog until the last putt of the day drops, doing my best to hold off the inclement weather. As always, post your comments and questions to this page or on Twitter at @JasonSobel. You may now swing away …

@JasonSobel -

From the "I Can't Believe They're Doing That" Dept.: With every player in the field currently at the course, there are 30 BMW SUV courtesy cars in the East Lake parking lot.

Despite the fact that these players have only been driving the new cars for 3-4 days, and despite the fact that it's going to rain throughout most of the afternoon ... each car is currently being detailed in the parking lot.

Phew! Glad to see they'll be leaving the course in extra-clean cars today. That's a load off my mind.

Are they detailing your 1989 Honda Civic, too?

@JasonSobel -  Towing it away maybe ...

@JasonSobel -  Mmm ... Duf.

Birdie for dark horse pick Jason Dufner on the first hole. He's on pace to shoot an 18-under  53 today -- which would be a record or something.

He moves into sole possession of seventh place. Just above him on the leaderboard are Jerry Kelly and Kenny Perry, who also birdied the first (and are also on pace for a 53).

Since it is earlier in the morning I was thinking you need a catch phrase like Breakfast at Wimbledon. I was thinking you could use Hangover with Sobel.

@JasonSobel -  Done. Someone call the patent office.
