Good morning. It's Bama week at last!

Keys to the AL game: defense - slow down AL's running game, and shut down McElroy & Julio. Offense - LSU won't win by Scott up the middle and QB draws by Shepard; they will have to pass effectively.

Glenn Guilbeau -  Scott up the middle is one of LSU's best plays, though. Scott carried 24 times for nearly 100 yards last year against Alabama. They need to run Scott a lot and stick with it throughout the game to win. This will open up the passing game.

Is the offense improving or is it the lack of quality competition? If the offense continues to improve we've got a shot. Also i think the defense has to pick up the back out of thebackfield better.

Glenn Guilbeau -  The offense is improving. Auburn and Tulane do not have good defenses, but Georgia did not have a good defense and LSU struggled much more against the Bulldogs. So, there is improvement, but LSU will never have a great offense this year. It does have an offense good enough to win, though, if it continues to not turn the ball over.

Do you think LSU will have a conservative game plan?
10:05
Glenn Guilbeau -  LSU likely will have a conservative game plan, which often works when you have a good defense. Had LSU been more conservative against Alabama last season, it would have won. The Tigers will likely be conservative in the first half, then open things up a bit in the second half. These two teams are remarkably similar. Very good defenses, questionable offenses.

Impressive shut out by the defense against Tulane. The offense performed well, as expected, against a less talented team.
