Kate -  Hey everyone. Welcome to Day 1 of the 2009-2010 season. Sixers went a little longer than 3 hours here at St. Joe's. There's not too many details coming out of the morning session since Eddie Jordan said it was nearly entirely focused on defense. Plus, we only saw the last 30 minutes or so.

Of the free-agents signed...who do you think has the best chance to make the team?
3:02
Kate -  I think you have to keep your eye on two guys: Stromile Swift and Dionte Christmas. I would have thought, before the Rodney Carney signing, that Christmas would have been my pick, but the Sixers are stacked at the swing position. And they could use another back-up big man. Swift did strain his left hamstring during the morning session. That's never a good sign.

If the sixers keep Dionte Christmas how many minutes do you see him averaging his first year?
3:03
Kate -  Not too many. Maybe 8 minutes? I'd see him getting minutes similar to how Donyell Marshall did last year.

what's your first impression about Jrue? they all seem to be very high on him, Stefanski praised his hard work in the summer. Ricky from Italy
3:05
Kate -  Ricky, how's Italy? My impression of Jrue is not necessarily from today's practice, but rather seeing him during July. Today we didn't get a specific look at any game-like situations. Jrue will get some minutes because of his defensive ability, that's my impression.

What's your honest opinion on Brand's health?
3:07
Kate -  My honest opinion is that he is much healthier than he was last year, but probably will not regain the explosion he had before the Achilles injury. Now the question is how effective he can be with a tailored game. After practice today, he showed the difference in size between his right and left calf. You can visibly see how much smaller his left calf is.
