Meredith Goldstein - Hi everybody, it's Meredith with the Globe. Let's talk about love, issues, etc. I'm thinking that yesterday's letter deserves some discussion. It was from the woman who's turning 40, is dating, wants babies, and doesn't know when to bring it up. That one got quite a response, right?

1:01	Meredith Goldstein - I know many of the commenters said, "it will all happen ..." but I tend to tell women to get the plan b going. Seems like finding the exact right mate to make a baby with is a lot of pressure. That's how people wind up in bad marriages.

Hello Meredith. As for yesterday, it is hard enough to find a good person without adding all of that weight and pressure. There are plenty of ways to have children if you are past the age of having them yourself. I say she should worry about finding a great person first and the rest will fall into place.

Meredith Goldstein - I once interviewed a fertility dr. who told me he was angry at magazines because of all of the 50somethings with babies on the covers, angry at movies for making it seem like every 39-year-old finds a man and has a perfect baby ... I think we're in a world where babies and romantic partners don't always have anything to do with one another.

1:03	[Comment From deborah] Why aren't the flames moderated out, Meredith? For example, that woman last week or so suffering depression - she took some nasty hits that could only have exacerbated her problems.
