Here are a couple of pregame notes from Mercyhurst Prep:

All-state forward Kirsten Olowinski slightly injured her hamstring in Saturday's game, but she still ended up with 28 points and 10 rebounds. An assistant coach reported that Olowinski is coming off one of her best practices of the season, so she should be fine tonight against Franklin.

Meanwhile, senior guard Courey Schaetzle, the Lakers' defensive stopper, is fighting an illness. She will play tonight, but she might not cover Franklin's top scorer, Saddie Gravatt.

6:06	Class AAA girls: Franklin 6, Mercyhurst Prep 3: 3:32 left in the first quarter. Mercyhurst is 1-of-5 shooting -- a 3-pointer by Lindsay Stamp.

6:07	Class AAA girls: West Mifflin 6, General McLane 4: 4:11 left in the first quarter. Sarah Hansen has all of McLane's points so far.

6:12	Class AAA girls: General McLane 11, West Mifflin 8 : 1:30 left in the first Sarah Hansen has all 11 points for McLane.

6:12	Class AAA girls: Franklin 12, Mercyhurst Prep 9: End of the first quarter.

6:15	Franklin's Saddie Gravatt had four points in the first quarter. Lindsay Stamp had five points for Mercyhurst Prep.

6:16	Class AAA girls: Mercyhurst Prep 13, Franklin 12: 7 minutes to go in the half. Amanda Berchtold has four straight points in the quarter for the Lakers.

6:16	Class AAA girls: General McLane 11, West Mifflin 10: end of the first quarter.

6:18	Class AAA girls: Mercyhurst Prep 15, Franklin 12: 5:57 to go in the half. Berchtold had a steal and a layup and now has all six points in the quarter for the Lakers. Mercyhurst has scored eight straight points.
