10:33
Please do add comments below, if you've got additional detail to add, or points to make. We'll try link into other related content as we go, as well.
10:36
In the last hearing, @selffregulation (Media Standards Trust's Matthew Cain) did a thorough job of keeping us posted via Twitter and he'll be doing it again today: http://twitter.com/selfregulation
10:42
Up first - Colin Myler, editor of News of the World and Tom Crone: legal manager for News International newspapers. Crone disputes MP's Tom Watson position on the committee. He's going to complain to Parliamentary Committee if Watson
remains.
10:46
Myler's opening statement says that payment to Gordon Taylor is only new matter arising; safeguards put in place from 2007.
10:51
Whittingdale: Probing on Taylor case.
Crone: Aware of first piece of evidence in April 2008, beyond Goodman and Mulcaire, when Gordon Taylor's lawyers produced new documents.
10:52
Discussion of Davies' evidence last week - an email between Neville Thurlbeck (chief reporter), Glenn Mulcaire and an unnamed young reporter - showing transcripts of hacking messages.
10:53
Crone says Thurlbeck says he never received email and young reporter's memory is hazy about the story.
10:54
Now moving onto the contract produced in last week's session - showing NOTW assistant editor Greg Miskiw's name on an agreement with Mulcaire, who was using a false name.
10:55
Crone claims that Mulcaire used a fake name because information was a result of Mulcaire's contacts at the PFA - anonymity wanted.
