WCMessenger -  Welcome to tonight's Friday Night Football Live Blogging
5:25
WCMessenger -  Tonight we've got Jacksboro (3-5, 1-2) at Alvord (5-3, 2-1); WF Hirschi (1-7, 0-3) at Bridgeport (4-4, 3-0); Paradise (1-7, 1-2) at Boyd (4-4, 3-0); Millsap (7-1, 2-1) at Chico (0-8, 0-3); Decatur (1-6, 1-2) at Vernon (1-7, 1-2); and Euless Trinity (6-2, 5-0) at Northwest (0-8, 0-5)

WCMessenger -  All games start tonight at 7:30 p.m. Good luck, Wise County teams!
7:04
WCMessenger -  I'm live at Bulldog Stadium in Vernon for the showdown between Decatur and Vernon.
7:06
WCMessenger -  Both teams are looking for their second wins in District 5-3A. Surprisingly, the field looks great here. Footing should not be a major problem.
7:07
WCMessenger -  It's my first time here. It's an interesting stadium. It's a bowl built down in the ground.
7:11
WCMessenger -  On the way out, I went through Electra. That got me thinking about the 1985 season in which the Tigers won state. Along the way, they knocked off Pilot Point in the Class 2A quarterfinal in Jacksboro. That may be as cold as I've ever been at a football game. Pilot Point also did not have much that game. Electra had a lot to do with that, but also the Bearcats were beat up in a classic game the week before at UT-Arlington against McGregor.
7:17
WCMessenger -  Back to the present, there's some huge games in the area tonight. The biggest in Alvord with the Bulldogs taking on Jacksboro. Alvord can seal a playoff spot with a win. Jacksboro could throw the battle for the second and third playoff spot wide open.
7:19
WCMessenger -  Bridgeport and Boyd can keep momentum building on the way to the playoffs. Both can also clinch a share of district titles with victories.
7:21
WCMessenger -  For those looking ahead to the playoffs, I'm going to try to stay updated on the Pilot Point and Callisburg game tonight. Pilot Point will likely be Boyd's bi-district opponent in Division I. If Alvord ends up with the top Division II seed they will likely see Callisburg in bi-district.
