What would it mean to you to be on a team with a veteran QB as opposed to a team with a bunch of young guns like yourself. Or would there be a difference?
5:29
Drew -  Well to be able to learn from an established veteran would be great, but also to be able to compete with younger guys for a position would be cool to so I think either situation would be good for me.

While you were growing up what team did you generally follow?
5:32
Drew -  Growing up in my family I learned to like the giants because we have season tickets but also growing up I liked the 49er tandem of Steve Young and Jerry Rice.   Right now though I just like to watch great qbs like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady

The transition from college to the Pros is known to be one of the hardest you can make, how do you think your doing so far and how has the transition been from your standpoint?
5:34
Drew -  Going up a level is definitely a tough transition but I've had to work for everything in my life growing up so I know I am ready for the challenge.   I know that I have put myself around the right people in the process up to the draft with my agent Brian Mackler, my speed coach Martin Rooney and QB coach Jerry Rhome...learning protections has been the biggest thing.

How do you feel you performed at the combine?
5:36
Drew -

I thought I did very well for myself at the combine with my interviews and also my performace in the running and throwing events.   I placed top ten in all of my events so I was happy for that and I thought I threw the ball well too.   I spoke with a bunch of teams and met a lot of coaches and players that I will keep in contact for a long time

Before this past season you stated that this year was a bowl or bust year. What did you see in yourself/your team that gave you the confidence to say that?
5:38
Drew -  While it was maybe a little risky to say bowl or bust...I had a lot of confidence in my teammates, coaches and myself.   I knew what kind of talent we had and being the quarterback I felt like if I did say it  I knew my guys would back me up.   In the end it worked outLaughing

What was your favorite moment from the past season?
5:40
Drew -  My favorite moment from last season had to be our comeback win against Bowling Green.   Being down 20 points in the 4th quarter and to have the heart as a team to come back just showed the character of our team.   That game also got us into the MAC championship...so many guys just had huge plays in the last quarter of that game!

As far as the NFL is concerned , does it matter what type of offensive system you play in?
5:42
Drew -

I would play in any offensive system, wherever I go I will always be trying to learn as much as possible to be a successful quarterback.   I will make the most of any system I get to play in during my career.

What do you think you will need to change/improve to ensure longevity in the NFL?
5:44
Drew -  I think just being consistent as a quarterback and always having that chip on my shoulder will keep me in the NFL.   I've worked to hard in my life to not go after my dream with everything I have.   I'm willing to do whatever it takes to have success in life in general.

Have you been in touch with Maynard or any of the other prospective QB starters much since leaving UB?
