Kevin Maguire, ESPN.com -  Welcome to Day 2 of the Presidents Cup. Jason Sobel's live analysis from Harding Park Golf Course will begin shortly.

@JasonSobel -  Good morning from Harding Park Golf Course, where Day 2 of the Presidents Cup will get under way with six four-balls matches beginning at 10:55 a.m. local time – about 25 minutes from now. But first I’d like to start off with a personal admission.

I hated yesterday’s edition of the Live Blog.

Seriously. I read it again last night and thought I blogged like Adam Scott has played golf for most of this year – which is to say, without much success or entertainment value.

So let’s turn it up a few notches today, folks. Click this link, crank the speakers to 11 and get into the right frame of mind. It’s Friday, golf fans! Time to have some Live Blog fun. Give me your haikus, your limericks, your cringe-inducing puns yearning to breathe free.

And yes, we’ll analyze some golf, too, as the United States enters the day with a 3.5-2.5 lead over its International opponent. First match of Justin Leonard/Phil Mickelson vs. Retief Goosen/Adam Scott will be on the tee soon, so we’ll have plenty to talk about. As always, you can send questions and comments directly through this page or on Twitter at @JasonSobel. You may now swing away …

@JasonSobel -  Really strange opening day here at Harding Park.

First there were issues on the second green, when Geoff Ogilvy was forced to back off his putt five separate times because of an ill-timed ring from the cell phone of a marshal. When he finally hit the putt, some idiot fan yelled out, "Noonan!" which left opponent Tiger Woods having to apologize for one of his countrymen.

Then there was Zach Johnson's drive on the ninth hole, which hit Camilo Villegas' caddie, who was down the fairway forecaddieing. After talking it over with rules officials, no penalty was assessed and Johnson was able to hit a second drive, free of charge.

And later, in the final match of the day, Justin Leonard was standing over a 3-foot putt on the 18th hole to win when Retief Goosen removed his hat, thinking his side had already lost and he would concede the putt. Finally realizing it actually mattered, Goosen let Leonard putt it out ... and he missed to halve the match.

Weird stuff going on just a few weeks before Halloween. Will be interesting to see whether it continues today.

TwitterJasonSobel -  President Obama receives Nobel Peace Prize. Makes sense. Anyone who helps bring Tim Finchem and Greg Norman together deserves consideration.

@JasonSobel -  Big news here at the course so far today is that golf has been added to the Olympics starting in 2016, narrowly receiving the two-thirds vote from the IOC necessary for inclusion.

Here's what some of the game's big names had to say about it ...

Tiger Woods: "I think it's great for golf.  It's a perfect fit for the Olympics, and I think we are all looking forward to golf getting into the Olympics."

Jack Nicklaus: "I want to congratulate all those who worked and campaigned so passionately over the last couple of years to make this day a reality. It is obvious that the unified voice of golf was not only heard but embraced by the International Olympic Committee. When I was asked last year to be a part of this global effort, I was delighted to be involved because I believe so strongly in our game and what it represents -- honesty, integrity, sportsmanship and good will. All of us who have spent our lives playing and enjoying the game of golf fully understand why it deserved a spot on the Olympic program, and now the sport I have always called the greatest game of all can be shared with the rest of the world on the greatest stage in sports."

Ryo Ishikawa: "As a golfer, I am honored. By having golf be a part of the Olympics, golfers will be more interested in the Olympics, and then sport of golf will get noticed more as well. I am looking forward to playing golf in the Olympics."

Phil Mickelson: "Everybody is very excited that golf became an Olympic sport, and we are working hard on our games so that over the next six years we are able to make the team and represent our country in the Olympics."

So there you go. Phil is already working on his game in hopes of winning a gold medal in 2016. Makes sense.

@JasonSobel -  Almost forgot to offer up the weather report for the day, which is ... very much like every other day we've had this week. Nice, cool temps, somewhere in the range of 60-65 degrees. Not much wind right now. No precipitation. Foggy and gray, but not so much that it would affect play.

Perfect golf weather.
