12:01
Kyle Meinke -  Hello everybody!
12:02
Kyle Meinke -  Welcome to today's live blog from the wrestling individual state finals at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
12:02
Kyle Meinke -  It already has been an eventful day here at The Palace, and we'll do our best to update you on all the action, and keep you posted on current results.
12:03
Kyle Meinke -  The consolation brackets played their second rounds this morning, and the winner's bracket second rounds currently are playing.
12:03
Kyle Meinke -  And as a side note, I am joined today by Jeff Chaney of The Grand Rapids Press, and he should contribute periodically throughout the day.
12:03
Kyle Meinke -  A few matches of note:
12:04
Kyle Meinke -  East Kentwood junior DeShawn Nelson just won what is probably the most entertaining match of the day against Alex Popp of Clarkston.
12:05
Kyle Meinke -  Nelson, who improves to 47-6 at 145 pounds in Division 1, lost his lead in the final 10 seconds of the match, drawing thunderous applause from the Clarkston fans.
12:05
Kyle Meinke -  But Nelson won in the sudden-death overtime with a thrilling reversal, and he advances in D1 action.
12:06
Kyle Meinke -  Right after the reversal, Popp became the tournament's first wrestler to vomit on the mats. Not pretty.
