- The consolation brackets played their second rounds this morning, and the winner's bracket second rounds currently are playing.

- East Kentwood junior DeShawn Nelson just won what is probably the most entertaining match of the day against Alex Popp of Clarkston.

- Nelson, who improves to 47-6 at 145 pounds in Division 1, lost his lead in the final 10 seconds of the match, drawing thunderous applause from the Clarkston fans.

- But Nelson won in the sudden-death overtime with a thrilling reversal, and he advances in D1 action.

- Right after the reversal, Popp became the tournament's first wrestler to vomit on the mats. Not pretty.
