1:06	Welcome to the Varsity live blog. This is a Saturday afternoon playoff edition. We'll be focusing on two games, but we'll also be trying to get other updates when we can.

1:07	Villa Maria 9, Sharpsville 2: 2:46 left in the first quarter. Ashley Prischak has all nine points for Villa. she's 3-of-4 from 3-point range. She's a junior guard.

1:09	We'll have the Villa-Sharpsville game now and the Girard-Maplewood game at 4 p.m. We'll also throw in a few updates from the 2:30 p.m. game between Greeville and Saegertown. all three games are being played at General McLane High School.

1:09	What a start for Ashley Prischak. That's clutch shooting, especially in the playoffs. No jitters for Ashley this afteroon.

Villa Maria 13, Sharpsville 6: Ashley Prischak leads with nine points. Kayla McBride, Villa's all-state guard, has started 0-for-3 from the field.

Times-news reporter Ron Leonardi says that Villa looks a little rusty at the start. Villa has played very few games in February, but the Victors did scrimmage Mercyhurst Prep earlier this week.

Villa, of course, can always count on its rugged, pressure defense even if the team is not shooting well. The Victors, ranked No. 1 in the state in Class AA, generate a lot of points from their defense.

1:22	Villa Maria 19, Sharpsville 8:4:59 left in the first half. Ashley Prischak leads Villa with 11 points. The Victors are on a 6-0 run.
