Chat with Chad Finn at noon

11:43
Boston.com -  Hi chatters -- Chad will be here at noon to talk Sox, Pats and any other sports topics on your mind. But feel free to begin submitting questions now . . .
12:12
Chad Finn -  Hey guys --   I do declare this is a great day for a chat, so thanks for stopping by. One thing before we get to the questions -- if you have a moment, please check out my friend's cause "Hoops for Heroes" at www.hoopsforheroes.com or www.twitter.com/hoopsforheroes. In essence, he's using his crazy-good free-throw shooting skills to raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes fund. It's a worthy cause and I'm proud of my buddy Dave Cummings for doing it, so give a look if you can . . .

Chad Finn -  Now, on to the questions . . .

Team with the ball last most likely to win a shootout on Sunday?
12:15
Chad Finn -  Gotta figure that's how it will go, G, though I do like the Patriots' defenses chances of slowing the Colts a little more this year than I have in the past. McGowan vs. Clark in the middle of the field is going to be a great matchup, and the Patriots' overall speed, particularly in the secondary, is so much better than it has been the past few years. Plus, the Colts receiving corps isn't as deep as it was during the Harrison/Wayne heyday, though Collie and Garcon have generally played pretty well. Manning will get his numbers, because he always does, but this defense is going to make him really earn it. I like the Pats' chances.

Who would you give up the farm to get, Felix or Adrian Gonzalez?
12:18
Chad Finn -  Is either an acceptable answer? I suppose Felix, because he's 23 and has the ability to win multiple Cy Young Awards, and a true ace might be the most valuable role in baseball. (Might be.) But I really want them to get Gonzalez. He's a perfect fit for what they need -- as he would be with most teams, I suppose -- and I actually think it is worth giving up the farm, as you say, to bring him here. Hoping to have a column posted on that subject later this afternoon, actually.

The Yankees won the World Series in 6 games, any gloating about your prediction?
12:20
Chad Finn -  Nah. Firstly, I'd have preferred to be wrong about that one. Secondly, it's very easy to find all of the predictions I've been wrong about through the years. (You can start with Paxton Crawford is the next Kevin Appier and go from there. Or Yao Ming is Chinese for Chuck Nevitt. Whatever you prefer.) The only prediction I've made that I bring up a lot is that the Yankees would swoop in and sign Teixeira at the last moment. Still boggles my mind that so few saw that coming.

Is it any surprise that with all the things that pretty much everyone thinks that the Red Sox are going to do in the offseason, that so far Theo traded for Hermida (GREAT MOVE fyi), inquired on Uggla to move him to left, and kicked tires on Joey Votto. I've been clambering for Adrian Gonzalez or a marquis Ace but I have to love the decisions that I've heard about so far!
