hey i read an article that the texans are really into getting a backup for slaton. how early can they go for a runningback
11:30
John McClain -  Originally, I thought they'd wait until the fourth round when they got the extra pick. Now I think they'll do it in the third unless they're really, really in love with somebody who fits what they do. No way they do it in the first and I doubt the second because the back won't start.

Are the Texans going to keep Jacoby or are they going to look for a returner in the draft?
11:31
John McClain -  Jones is a premier return man entering his third season. I don't think they should give up on him. He's too gifted. Give him another chance to learn to hold the ball.

If the Texasn ahd to part ways with either Robinson, Ryans or Daniels.....who would it be and why? Do you see a scenario where Malcolm Jenkins could fall to us at 15?
11:32
John McClain -  All of those players will be starting for the Texans next season. If Jenkins falls, he's going to be hard to pass up. Rick Smith says you can never have enough good corners. Plus, Jenkins has backed off his stance of only playing CB because they make more money. He says he's willing to play FS. I still see them trying to improve their front seven in the first round.

In the chronicle the other day , rick smith stated that there is a chance that he would trade up in the draft , which one or two players would they trade up for in your opinion?
11:33
John McClain -  I don't think he'd trade up too far. He wants to keep the valuable picks. I could see him giving a four to move up a spot. As for who, I don't know. Curry won't be available. Neither will Raji, who has character concerns. I know it's not an offensive player.

Do you think Detroit will trade their number one pick? I have read they are worried about getting the pick signed.
11:34
John McClain -  They offered it around the league last week and nobody bit. I think the Lions will talk to the agents and draft the player, probably Stafford, they can have signed before the draft. Reports that he's going to get 40 mil guaranteed should be nuts. If they give him that, they're nuts. He should get a little more than Matt Ryan last season.
