Go ahead and start sending in your questions.

OK, everyone, we're going live to Jim in Baton Rouge. And, we're taking your questions.

Fans have been talking for the past few years about the "Golden Age" of LSU football being upon us. How fortunate is LSU to have the coaches that they do for the football, baseball and men's basketball teams all here at the same time? Not to mention the athletic director. Is this the "Golden Age" for LSU athletics, period?
12:03
Might be. It's a little early to tell. Hopefully for LSU fans, the last football season was not the beginning of a slide that will continue. But baseball and basketball appear to be in good hands. Trent Johnson hasn't yet proven he can recruit, but I have a hunch he'll handle that well. Overall, though, this is as good as I've seen things.

Is it just me...but it seems that not only is LSU not getting a lot of credit for their basketball season and grittiness this year, coach Trent Johnson seems to be getting even less respect/credit from local (Baton Rouge) press as well.
12:05
I'm not sure how to gauge it. There seems to be more people covering LSU this year than last, with the addition of some websites. I've covered LSU sports since 1995 and basketball is always a bit overlooked, at least until recruitng is over. Now, baseball will overshadow it. That's just how it is. BR is anot a big hoops town and the popularity of football casts a long shadow. At tournament time, things will heat up.

what position(s) do you think LSU football team will need to improve on to this year?
12:07
Here's my point from the previous question. Recruiting is over for two weeks and I get a football question, but that's fine. Obviously, quarterback and the secondary. Those two spots were bad all season long. That brings me to another area that needs improvement - coaching. The LSU staff did a poor job last year of teaching the players what they wanted them to do. It's evident because the team made the same mistakes throughout the season, right through the last regular season game. Draw your hope from the bowl game and watch spring practicd closely.

[Comment From Stephen T.]
Did the basketball Tigers get hot too early and have begun to fade or have the recent struggles been due to an upsetting in the team chemistry stemming from the Bo Spencer injury?
12:09
It's both, but if you'll notice, LSU struggled in the last three games and all three were against foes the Tigers had already played. Trent Johnson is a new coach and no one knew exactly how to prepare for them. Plus, you can't tell from video tape how determined a team is or how it plays at crunch time. Miss St., Ole Miss and Arkansas were ready for the Tigers the second time around. It's a credit to LSU that it managed to win each game.
